Becoming a Nail Technician was never the plan.
Most of my working life revolved around Sales but the M50 filled me with dread, customer meetings left me drained, and revenue targets just kept rising.
When I did have time for appointments on my nails in Navan I would arrive with an array of photos but much to my disappointment, my ideas never became a reality, and I always left with a plain polish with maybe, glitter on the tips. So I said, maybe I can do them myself?
So, at the age of 50, I retrained with the sole intention of being my own nail tech.
However….. I discovered I loved it! I scoured YouTube for nail tutorials, fell in love with the thought of producing long, marbled, encapsulated acrylic tips and decided I would make it my sideline.
Now, 4 years on, my sideline is now my full-time job in my beautiful nail studio and I wouldn’t change it for the world! They say if you love your job, you’ll never work a day in your life, and that’s how I feel right now.
